The Central Districts teams had great success at the 2025 Regional Championships, with the Intermediate Team winning their division, and the Senior Team placing second. Warmest congratulations to Martin Berry, Murray Carter, Annette Weaver and Audrey Young (the Intermediates) and to Mairi Fitzsimons, Frank Nieuwland, Noel Woodhall and Carolyn Yeomans (the Seniors). Congratulations to Wayne Burrows and Jack James (both from Palmerston North) who won the Zelda Morris 10A Pairs for 2025! Second place was taken by Scott Smith and Michael Ware, and third place by Graeme Tuffnell and Zachary Yan.

Congratulations to Anita Thirtle and Pieter Verhoek for winning the Central Districts section of the Dan Gifford Rubber Bridge competition in 2025, and honourable menntion to the runners-up, Don Nightingale and Robyn Nightingale.
Anita and Pieter will represent CD in the National Rubber Bridge competition, to be held during National Congress week. All the best to you both!
